KNX-Weather stations
Data sheet
KNX weather stations record various local weather and sun position data. In addition, an integrated GPS module provides precise time and location information
Depending on the date, sun positions, wind, and solar radiation, shading, lighting, and irrigation systems can be controlled
The weather stations W83X(M3) (without particulate matter detection) and W83X(M3)-PM (with particulate matter detection) are combined with a KNX coupling module

The WS1-US-GPS and WS1-US-GPS-PM devices are combination units. The SK10L-GPS-THL device (with temperature and humidity sensor) can be operated independently without a weather station.

Weather stations: WS1-US-GPS

The WS1-US-GPS records:

  • Wind speed and wind direction
  • Temperature and humidity
  • Rain intensity and accumulated amount of rain
    • The measurement of the accumulated amount of rain can be restarted via an object
  • Solar radiation and accumulated solar radiation
    • The measurement of the accumulated solar radiation is restarted every day at 00:00
  • Local longitude and latitude (coupling module)
  • Brightness (coupling module)
  • Date/time | system clock( coupling module)

As derived values are available:

  • Absolute humidity and dew point temperature
  • Average wind speed over 10 minutes and over 2 minutes
  • Wind speed in Beaufort
  • Gusts wind speed
  • Position of the sun: azimuth and elevation angle (coupling module)
  • Day/night/twilight as switching objects
  • Annual, weekly and daily timers

Additionally available in all variants:

  • Minimum/maximum values for up to 5 measured variables
  • 10 limit value calculations for up to 10 measured variables
  • 10 logic objects with logical connections
  • 6 parameterizable sectors for calculating the position of the sun

WS1-US-GPS KNX-Wetterstation
Item No: 40304101

The WS1-US-GPS measurement system records meteorological data without any moving parts.

To determine wind direction and wind speed, the phase shifts of sound waves caused by air currents are measured.

A radar signal is used to measure precipitation

Weather station: WS1-US-GPS-PM

The  WS1-US-GPS-PM records

  • Wind speed and wind direction (using ultrasound)
  • Temperature and humidity
  • Rain intensity and accumulated amount of rain (using radar)
    • The measurement of the accumulated amount of rain can be restarted via an object
  • Solar radiation and accumulated solar radiation
    • The measurement of the accumulated solar radiation is restarted every day at 00:00
  • Particle matter pollution with particle sizes PM1, PM2.5, and PM10
  • Local longitude and latitude (coupling module)
  • Brightness (coupling module)
  • Date/time  | System clock  (coupling module)

As derived values are available:

  • Absolute humidity and dew point temperature
  • Average wind speed over 10 minutes and over 2 minutes
