Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

the cold season is approaching again but with KNX, of course, it's no problem! Our KNX level sensor can regulate not only the water level of the rainwater cistern in the summer but also serves you during the heating period...

Start the heating season with peace of mind - with the KNX level meter SK80-F

The next heating season is approaching, and heating oil tanks are being refilled once again. This year, like in previous years, it's quite an expensive endeavor. Since the significant increase in energy prices, many people desire more control and a precise overview of their energy consumption. With KNX, this is easily achievable because the KNX system is reliable and enables efficient resource management.

With our KNX level meter SK80-F, the filling and level of heating oil tanks and water cisterns can be conveniently monitored and controlled. It has its own display and can be easily integrated into a KNX system.

For non-contact measurement in heating oil tanks, we offer the SK80-F with an ultrasonic sensor. Additionally, we are currently working on a hydrostatic solution for use in heating oil tanks (expected to be available from the 4th quarter of 2023).

Are you interested in the SK80-F and would like more information? We would be happy to provide you with more details about our level sensors and create an offer for you.

Pssst... No KNX system in place?

We believe in KNX because the KNX system is secure and efficient. Nevertheless, we want to make the use of our level meter accessible to customers without an existing KNX system. That's why we offer the SK80-F series as standalone devices with a power supply (see SK80-FN).

Hydrostatic or Ultrasonic - Briefly Explained

Ultrasonic Level Measurement with the SK80-F

Our SK80-F with an ultrasonic sensor is suitable for use in both water cisterns and heating oil tanks.

The ultrasonic level sensor does not come into contact with the liquid being measured, reducing the risk of contamination and damage to the sensor.

Ultrasonic measurement is based on time-of-flight. The ultrasonic pulses emitted by the sensor are reflected from the surface of the medium and then detected by the sensor. The required time of flight is a measure of the distance traveled in the empty part of the container. This value is subtracted from the total container height to obtain the level.

The integrated display allows you to read the current level as well as the highest and lowest values in the past year. Additionally, upper and lower limit values for the level can be set. This sensor system can thus help prevent overfilling or underfilling, which can lead to damage or waste.

Integrating the level meter into your KNX system enables efficient resource management. However, if you do not have a KNX system, the device can also be used independently with a power supply (SK80-FN).

Hydrostatic Level Measurement with the SK80-F

For measuring water levels in cisterns, we recommend our SK80-F with a hydrostatic sensor.

The height of the fill level in a cistern container can be comfortably determined via water pressure. The hydrostatic pressure probe is placed at the bottom of the cistern and relays the water pressure to the display and control unit. The water pressure increases proportionally with the height of the water level above the pressure probe and can be measured with centimeter precision. The measurement is also independent of foam, turbulence, or tank installations. The shape of the cistern can be freely configured using the SK80-F.

Hydrostatic level measurement allows for continuous measurement of the fill level and real-time monitoring and control. The integrated display allows you to read the current level as well as the highest and lowest values in the past year. Additionally, upper and lower limit values for the level can be set. Thus, the sensor can help prevent overfilling or underfilling, which can lead to damage or waste.

Integrating the level measurement into your KNX system enables efficient resource management. However, if you do not have a KNX system, the device can also be used independently with a power supply (SK80-FN).
